Tom Nardacci is a graduate of Columbia University, where he received
a master’s degree in Strategic Communications. He received
a bachelor’s degree in History from Syracuse University.
He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA)
and the American Marketing Association (AMA).
Tom has experience working with businesses of all sizes, as well
as in the government and non-profit sectors. He is a trusted media
advisor and an expert in public affairs. He has regularly secured
stories in top New York, national and international media outlets,
and is a steady spokesperson that has appeared in print, on radio
and television.
Before starting Gramercy Communications, Tom served as Director
of Public Affairs for the Alliance for Downtown New York, Lower
Manhattan’s business improvement district. His career also
includes communications and political work for New York State’s
largest labor union, and he previously directed the media efforts
of a New York Assemblyman in Albany and a U.S. Congressman on
Capitol Hill. Tom has worked in lead roles on local, state, and
federal political campaigns, including as a field coordinator
in Iowa for a United States Presidential candidate. Tom is also
former Common Council President of his hometown, the city of Rensselaer,
N.Y. having been elected at the age of 23.
Previously, he served as an appointed board member of the New
York Hudson River Valley Greenway Council, and was named to the
Rensselaer County Legislature Task Force on Legislative Redistricting.
He has volunteered or served as a board member for several non-profits,
including the Boys and Girls Club and the Amateur Athletic Union
(AAU).
