SEDC/Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce Host Training 

More than two-dozen Saratoga County business leaders recently attended Gramercy Communications’ Media Training Boot Camp, presented by Tom Nardacci and Eric Wohlleber. The session was co-sponsored by Saratoga Economic Development Corporation and the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce for members of their organizations.

Participants learned how to fully understand the newsroom, harness the power of media relations and avoid social media pitfalls. The members were also given examples of crisis communications situations and had the opportunity to practice in front of a camera and review their interview.

Saratoga County’s economic growth has been in the national spotlight thanks to President Obama’s third visit to Tech Valley in three years.  With the opening of GlobalFoundries in Malta and other technology initiatives in the region, many businesses need to effectively communicate with all types of media. It is important for businesses to have knowledge on how to properly deliver messages across many platforms, from newspapers to television to social media.

Gramercy Communications hosted a special Public Relations Society of America Capital Region Chapter event in May at Victory Café in downtown Albany. Tom Nardacci & Eric Wohlleber spoke with peers in the public relations industry and business leaders about the newest tool used to effectively reach targeted audiences with a powerful message, video.

Currently, video is trending as one of the best methods to tell a story. According to the Pew Research Center, 71% of adults are watching online videos.

Several of our client case studies have proven the effectiveness of video, the impact video can have on a target audience as well as the recognition and credibility its message can bring to an organization. The way in which we communicate will continue to change, video is an important tool to master and utilize.
