I was very pleased to be featured in The Business Review’s most recent edition featuring coverage on the state and future of social media.

Over the past five years the public relations industry has undergone some significant changes, which is a direct reflection of the tectonic shift happening in communications as a whole.

Gramercy Communications is at the forefront of the changing media landscape. We are spending more and more time helping our clients to integrate their traditional communications efforts with social media.

While the opportunities are tremendous, there are also pitfalls that companies and organizations must prepare for. We don’t think that the rise of social media means the end of earned media. In many ways the opposite is true. Social media creates new lines of communication that need monitoring. When you decide to engage, it needs to be in a thoughtful way.
