I am pleased to say that the PR industry in Tech Valley is blooming. Over the past few years, we saw a major merger of the area’s largest PR firm to one of the state’s largest, and a number of new PR firms have sprung up bringing a diversity of talent and skills.
Four years ago, I launched Gramercy Communications because Tech Valley needed a PR firm that was on the cutting edge of the changing media landscape. My experiences in New York City and in Washington, D.C. helped me see that drastic changes were happening in communications. It was only a matter of time before the impact of these changes was felt in the Capital Region.
In a short time, Gramercy Communications has become known as one of Upstate New York’s best small PR firms. This success is rooted in what we have achieved for our clients and our efforts to transform the regional public relations industry.
Recently, we co-pitched an article with some of our colleagues at another local agency to highlight the work that local firms are doing related to high technology and in nanotechnology. I think the local PR industry as a whole benefits from this collaborative effort and the excellent story reported by The Business Review in its last edition.
